Consistently recognised by legal ranking agencies like Legal 500 Asia-Pacific, Chambers and Partners, and Benchmark Litigation, Hema is described as a technically-minded litigator who fearlessly tackles complex cases, having represented global brands such as Tupperware, Johnson & Johnson, and AstraZeneca.
Hema’s practice spans advisory, litigation, and mediation, with expertise in intellectual property disputes involving patents, trademarks, industrial designs, and domain names. She has also represented pharmaceutical and medical device companies in high-profile product liability cases.
She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), a certified mediator with the Malaysian International Mediators Centre and for the Geneva-based World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO). Hema also contributes to thought leadership as a domain name dispute panellist at the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC) and as a published author in Russell-Clarke & Howe on Industrial Designs.
